If you start at any other time during your cycle you MUST wait or use condoms for the first 7-14 days. Some pills require only waiting 7 days, others are 14.

Also, you don't have to take it on your period. If you don't take it on your period, just wait 7-14 days before having unprotected sex and you're good! I say 7-14 because some pills require 7 days, some require 14😉

If you start the pack the day you start your period then it is effective that day. Otherwise if you start the Sunday after your period (like how most bc are) then you wait a week. Hope that helps!😊
