can i get out of the friend zone?

I fell for a guy who just wants to be friends, he's single, funny, and a great guy all around. He knows i like him, i told him straight up. He says he just wants to be friends, but at the same time he's kissed me, he kind of gets jealous when other guys flirt, he asked another friend if me and my roommate where a thing, he pulls me away from flirty guys (or gets into the convo or something similar). He just overall sends me mixed signals and idk what to do. Any advice in general gals?
