Boyfriend and I are on lease together. He has not paid his half of the rent for 4 months now "looking for jobs" aka building his weed tolerance. The relationship is already abusive (he's spat in my face and gave me a concussion) Ive had enough of it. I want him out but we're on lease together which is his argument as to why he can still mooch off of me and stay there rent free. Our lease is month to month. If I talked to landlord would I be able to get him off lease and still live there or would I have to look for a new apartment by myself? (My credit score is terrible due to identity theft I can't even get a loan taken out). I don't want to end up homeless because of him if I do go through with getting his name off lease and having to look for a new apartment
