help with BC side effects!

Hi all, normally I am a pretty mellow person. You'd never see me bawling my eyes out and never ever would see me burst into a fit of rage the best word to describe me was placid. Then all that changed, the extreme rage I felt along with suicidal thoughts over something ridiculous plus extreme outbursts of tears... this isn't like once a week ohhhhh no this is a everyday occurrence and I had no idea until my husband pointed out that my moods were extremely out of control ! Once he said this I stopped and thought and was like "oh shit, I've been acting crazy!" And it all started a week or two after I began a BC PILL! Is this normal ? Is it something to be expected or could I possibly try switch brands or something? The moods are unbearable and really not healthy !
