husband's wedding ring broke. Need advice

Not really sure where to post this but my husband and I got married three months ago. He's a police officer I got him a tungsten ring because they are supposed to be known for their durability. Supposedly they're stronger than steel and all of this. Plus scratch resistant for the most part. He was at the police academy teaching a class and on break was playing pool with a couple of the male students. Supposedly one of them threw a pool ball to him and he caught it with his left hand. I guess it did hit a little hard but it completely broke his wedding band in half. I'm completely devastated and so is he! Our rings do mean a lot to me because of what they symbolize and we said our vows and everything with them representing that. I contacted the company and I am demanding a refund but do any of you know about these rings? From my research that should not of happened in 1 million years basically. I mean I know anything can break but come on this would not have happened with a steel or platinum or gold ring. And I purposely got the tungsten ring because it supposed to be even more resistant. I feel like we got took in someway. Anyone's thoughts?
