important question on miscarrying

Ok so Monday I was told through a blood test I was pregnant but Monday night I started to bleed I've been heavily bleeding ever since and came in and gave blood to check out the pregnancy since it's possibly too soon for an ultrasound well the blood test came back and says positive still. Do you stay positive until the miscarriage is complete or is this probably just normal? I never bled with my sons when I was pregnant and the only other time I've bled while pregnant I miscarried so isk what's going on thank you ladies in advance
