Should girls be allowed to wear leggings in school? Or in public?

Do you guys think girls should be allowed to wear leggings in school or out in public? My school is very strict about girls wearing leggings, because they say it's inappropriate. What do you think?

Plenty of men can get distracted just from someone wearing sweats just as many men who get turned on from someone wearing yoga pants

I wear leggings as pants all the time. 🙄It's not like you're walking around naked. Boys will be boys no matter what you wear. That shouldn't decide if us girls can wear leggings as pants. Leggings are so much more comfortable to me. I hate wearing jeans. I feel much more confident in leggings. Yeah it might show off some curves but is it really that big of a deal? Our rule I middle school a few years back was that no one could wear leggings just because one person wore them once and their thing was visible. A few of my friends and I teamed up with all of the girls in school and we had 100+ girls wearing leggings the same exact day. My principle wasn't happy with me 🙊. But hey, they weren't going to take the time to get EVERYONE in trouble

I'm still in high school and my school is also very strict about leggings,  I personally don't care about that rule (no leggings in school) but I make sure that No one is able to see through them(my leggings) if boys have a problem with us wearing leggings, if it's 'distracting' them it's their fault they shouldn't be looking around that area anyways, they should be paying attention in class

Certain archaic dress code rule so can get behind. Teens have a lot of hormones and the socialization of objectifying women is already ingrained so it's just distracting, but LEGGINGS ARE PANTS. Unless they say no tight sweats or tight jeans then they can't say no leggings

As long as they aren't see through and you see no one's underwear, leggings are appropriate. They made up over probably half of my outfits in high school. I don't really like jeans.

Boys need to be educated on respecting girls' bodies and not act like jerks and say "oh it's the girl's fault". It's like when the rappist says "the girl asked for it because she wore revealig clothes". I could walk around butt naked yet not ask for anything. I feel like a lot of men don't respect women in generel and their behaviour is always justified in one way or another. How come women are not allowed to be distracted by how a man looks like or what he wears?!

It covers everything, so I don't see why schools would have a problem with it, but there's nothing you can really do about it unless you go talk to someone? I think.
Now unless you can see their freaking underwear through it, then they shouldn't be wearing it 😂
This girl in my class wore leggings one day, and you could see her underwear right through it, I felt so bad for her 😭

I think it depends on the type of leggings, how they're worn and where they're worn. If you're in school and you wear them as an undergarment or they're insulated leggings, which are thicker so they arnt see through, then I think it's fine, even in school. It's just situational. And I believe that as long as it's not at a school or government building you should be able to wear whatever the heck you want, it's your body people shouldn't dictate what you "can" wear.
