what am I doing wrong?

My son is a week and 1 day old.. I am trying to breastfeed him and I am so close to giving up! 
He has no issues latching and sucking but at night he wants to eat non-stop. He will sleep maybe an hour at a time at night but during the day he will sleep 2-3 hours at a time.. He nurses for about 10 minutes on each breast every time he feeds with me waking him up occasionally.. I know he's just got his days and nights mixed up so how did you get through?! I am so mentally and physically drained 😫😴

You're not doing anything wrong. That's normal newborn behavior. Plus there's lots of growth spurts coming up meaning more fussiness and feedings.

My son is 1 week 3 days old.. and trust me you're on alone... I'm in the same boat. He's up all night maybe he'll sleep for 15 mins wake up and cry, he won't take the pacifier, then go back to sleep 10 mins later wake up again, so basically I don't sleep at all till I'm the morning when he finally decides to sleep for a max of 2 hours that's when I get my sleep. I rush to the kitchen to get something to eat & then fall asleep

It will get better.  Give it time. Like pp said it's cluster feeding.  It's also helping establish your supply. Stay strong.  Take breaks when you get a chance.  Keep snacks and water nearby!!

Sounds like he's cluster feeding, my little one did that the first four nights. Finally she got better, once my milk fully came in. She's six weeks old now and sleeps 2 hours during the night sometimes 4 hour stretches.  You can get through it... it gets better mama! 😊

One piece of advice my LC gave me was that they may give hunger signs, but not be hungry (during non-stop cluster feedings). She told me to try to comfort/hold her without feeding for about 20 minutes (after she has already been nursing for some time) and then put her down.
