what do you do to stay green? ♻️

So I try and do my part by helping out the environment. I recycle, always get paper bags at the grocery store, take the bus or carpool, and walk when I can (but it's hard when it gets down to -30!!). I was wondering what are some other creative ways to stay green during the cold winter days!

One of the best ways to be green and help our environment is to actually reduce or eliminate your use of animal products. Just some fun facts:
• 1lb of beef takes 2,500-5,000 gallons of water to produce, 1lb of vegetables takes 25 gallons.
• cows produce 150 million pounds of methane a day
• Animal agriculture is the leading cause of species extinction, ocean dead zones, water pollution, and habitat loss.
• Cattle farms are the leading cause of deforestation in the Amazon.

I use reusable bags when I go shopping and I recycle. I also keep plastic take out containers. Really useful for packing lunch or giving someone food.
