Will you tell people the chosen name?

Question

I don't know what I'd do. I'd like to get peoples reactions but I don't want it to adjust my feelings towards the names I like. 
​Has anyone changed their chosen name because of bad reactions?

We dont know the sex of our baby yet im 16 wk but when we've mentioned our girl name we've picked out people just say "oh" or "ok"  my father died 3 years ago he was the best dad in te world i miss him deeply and his name was Randall and my mother n law middle name is lee so we like

Omg!!!! My dad passed away 5 months ago. His name was Randall. His last name was Lee (also my maiden name) I was thinking about naming this baby Randi Lee if it's a girl too!!!!! That is just amazing.

I agree names are a personal choice. The only thing is I hate it when people start to get silly. Like that couple that named there children after a packet of fags. (Cigarets) Bensons and hegges!! Wt...  Or the name 'like'. 
​I think name your child what you like but also think of how this could effect your child in later life. Or how people will pronouse it. You don't want you poor child with the misery of going through  life with no one ever being able to spell there name.  I also new a child called mercy! And they lived in France for a bit!!!!  The mind boggles with some people.

I have only told my boy name (Sebastian), because it's old fashioned, not many people react but to say it's old.  but I find girls names so much harder to choose! And because we are finding it so difficult to chose one, we are keeping it a secret until the birth. That's IF we are having a girl anyway haha.

We're not pregnant yet... Hopefully soon, but at dinner today baby names were brought up we mentioned a name we like and there were negative reactions from everyone. Confirmed the fact that when we do get pregnant and pick out a name we will not be sharing!

We had names picked out since our first date (seriously!) so we were 100% set on our choices. I wanted to wait a but, but my mil got it out of me so everyone knew baby#1's name from about 18werks on. Now we are pregnant with #2, fairly certain of the names we will use, but I'd really like to try and wait this time, have there be something to announce when s/he arrives.

I named my son Auden, I really wanted ayden but it was so popular I changed it a little. I still get a raised brow and asked how it is spelt. But it just felt right and after he was older everyone says it fits him. He likes to he called Audi now though. Name your baby what you like:)
