Prenatals? Over the counter VS. Prescription ?

So wondering what the big difference in over he counter VS. Prescription prenatals really is . Does this have more iron in it ? Just curious

I just bought some prenatal vidimins with folic acid from Walmart but im pretty sure they are all the same and work just as good or better

Normally yes, it has iron in it than over the counter prenatals. Personally I take prenatals with no iron in them at all because it rips my stomach a new one. My doc says as long as my iron levels stay good I don't need to worry about it. So if iron definciancy is an issue prescribed prenatals are definitely better than over the counter.

A huge incentive for women to get a RX vs. over the counter... They're typically free or close to it if you fill your RX at Wal-Mart or another company that has the cheaper prescription program.

I have always had great iron levels and the otc prenatals would make me sick. My dr gave me a rx for prenatals with a lower dose of iron. That's the only reason why I did it.
