Late on birth control early on period?

So during the holidays, I misplaced my patches. 😒 and I usually put my patch on on Sunday, so I took my first week patch off but had none on until Friday when I found them again. On the day I applied my week 2 patch, I had spotty brown discharge that lasted 3 days. It was the weirdest thing cause I'm typically super regular but I had a "period" on week 2 and should have it again in 2 weeks "off patch"? Right? If not then what..
