C Section Nausea/Vomiting?

I am being induced right now and not progressing, and I am staring down a c section. I am really worried about feeling sick, throwing up during and after. Curious what other c-section mama's experiences have been.

I was induced but ended up in a c section but I didn't throw up at all and I ate like 5 hours before . I was just really sleepy but that was because I got a spinal

My daughter was born via c-section. I had to drink this stuff to neutralize my stomach acids. It was horrible. Despite not having anything to eat for 18 hours, I threw up in the operating room. Luckily, I was able to tell the nurse I was about to puke so he held a puke bag for me to throw up in. It didn't help much I got puke in my hair and on the side of my face.

I wasn't allow to eat 8 hours prior. I felt sick about 10 minutes into c-section. Then threw up all over myself. Since I wasn't able to move, I could only turn my head to the side. In recovery I was extremely dizzy and couldn't even hold my baby much less try to breastfeed. I continued to throw up about 4 times in that hour. I was still sick up to 4 hours after. I was very dizzy and although they gave me meds for the nausea it didn't address the dizziness and continued to throw up. After an hour the spinal block had worn off and it was very painful to throw up with a fresh cut. I got through it though and I'm alive.

Before I did throw up once and they gave medication for the nausea. And then during it I was really nervous and while they were making the incision I got really sick and almost threw up but managed to hold it back and they gave me more medication which helped, after that I was fine. I think the hardest part is the first week of recovery the procedure really isn't as bad as you think it will be! Good luck!

I did before and after...after they gave me some meds for nausea after the first day I felt fine

I didn't feel sick.. I ate breakfast hours after and I was fine. I did shake uncontrollably.. like shivering. The doctor said it was the medication. It went away once they gave me my daughter.

I personally did not feel sick during. I just made sure I kept calm. If you do start to feel sick, you should just tell them right away because they can help do something about it. I did throw up once about an hour or so after. Possibly because I tried drinking apple juice too quickly after. I felt so much better after I threw up though.
