Is a good idea for us to date?

I'm 15 (well in a few days) and the guy I'm dating is 16. So he's the year above me in school, the age isn't an issue for me and it's legal because I'm not gonna have sex with him, I'm a wait for marriage kinda person.
But I know my mum will be a bit freaked about be dating someone older. Well even if I bother to tell her. My family makes a huge embarassing fuss over everything😒

But the thing is, he's one of my- not so close- friends brother, he's also close friends with al my friends. And i don't want to make it awkward if we break up or when we all hang out in a group-us be annoying.

Idk I don't wanna make a move or lead him on if it won't work. I just needed you ladies opinions on the matter. Thank you xx

Take a risk. Just have a clear understanding of what the consequences may be and be ready to deal if so. Experience is the best teacher I always say. And I think you should be honest with Mum, no matter how she reacts at least you told her and she can NEVER hold that against you. To me as a mom Id rather my daughter to tell me than not keep secrets. Yeah she's only 4 1/2 but she knows that she can tell us anything and to never keep secrets from mommy and daddy. That even when she makes mistakes and we disagree we still love her. And good on ya waiting till marriage I often wish I had done so but it wasnt something encouraged or discussed in our household growing up.
