Period or ovulation

I had light brown spotting for 2 days. Wasn't the whole 2 days. Happened once a day. Then on the 4th I had watery discharge and my cervix felt high. But it changed that same day back to normal. Then yesterday I had the light brown spotting again. I mc in sept. Got the depo shot aug 30. My periods have been irregular. 40, 13, and 9. I'm on cd 17. I had the watery discharge cd 15. What could it be?
