Negativity Towards TTC!

Today my Fiancé and I decided to openly announce that we make the decision to TTC! We received SO much love and support & were overjoyed by the response we recieved! However, there always has to be that one personal who sucks the happiness right out of everything. My Fiancé ended up getting an unprompted message from a "friend" calling us selfish for wanting to have a baby. Their reasoning? Basically because we don't have an unlimited amount of money. Of course I was livid and I'm still hurt and angry about what was said. My question is, has this happened to anyone else? If so how did you response to the situation?
