Breast feeding with nipple rings?

Hey mommas!

I'm currently pregnant with my second baby and DETERMINED to breastfeed, but I have two obstacles that could make it a bit hard. 
I've had my nipples pierced for under a year and I want to keep them in, but I want to be able to breast feed my baby. 
I've heard that you can just take them out to feed, but babies feed for a long time, and since I haven't had my piercings for that long, I don't want to risk having them close up.

I only had the chance to breast feed my daughter for a couple weeks before she cracked my nipples and I lost my milk supply waiting for them to heal, and I want to have the chance to be able to breast feed for longer with this baby.

Any other mommas been in this predicament and want to shed some light for me?

P.s I'm so not willing to get them repierced. 
(Anyone who doesn't have them done, just imagine a needle going through your nipple and you'll understand)

Sounds like you have to make the choice between breastfeeding or your piercings. It's unsafe to have them in when nursing for the simple fact that they're a choking hazard. It could also lead to infection for you, poor latch, and even sores in baby's mouth.

So I've had mine pierced for years. My youngest is now 2.5 and I had to remove them to breastfeed him. First, it's just a choking hazard. Second, trust me, you're not going to want anything near your nipples in the beginning so putting them in and out every hour and a half makes me shudder. Mine did mostly close up. (One did and one didn't I think) I ended up getting them re pierced. And I know you said you'd never do it, but again trust me, after you've had bleeding, cracked, painful as all hell nipples from starting breastfeeding, piercing will seriously not be that bad! Oh, and I swear milk comes out of one of the piercing holes! 😂

You can't breastfeed with them in. I had to take mine out (twice) and then have them redone which for the record hurts so much worse the second time around going through scar tissue ☹️️

It doesn't seem feasible to breastfeed with them in...how can baby latch properly? I had
to repeatedly stick my nipples with needles to clear milk blisters my first go around...so fun lol

My sister had her's pierced but for much longer and she took them out long prior to breastfeeding. So don't know about takin them out for feedings. I would think that would be hard since babies feed lots in the beginning and you will be so tired and have a lot going on with new baby plus your other kid. Seems like a lot of hassle.
