Cereal or No Cereal?

Question

I would like some opinions on adding cereal to bottles. My little girl is almost 3 months and other than some minor gas issues she sleeps well and is a very happy baby. She was born early and was only 5 lbs, but she's growing right on track even though she's smaller. 
I've seen so many different articles and hard so many different people say to start adding it around 3 months, but then I've seen/heard just as many saying not to add it at all. 
I know, I know my baby best and trust my instincts, I would just like you ladies' opinions!

I'm not doing it. Mine sleeps well and although he was small at birth he's now at 75th percentile so adding calories is unecessary. Adding in cereal can lead to diabetes and obesity. I'm waiting until 6 months to introduce healthy foods. Babies wake up at night, it's part of the deal. Giving him something to benefit me so I get sleep isn't fair.

My bean is currently not eating the suggested amount of formula (she's only take around 16-18oz a day) so we have opted to add a tablespoon of rice to her evening bottle to supplement a little bit and so she is not waking up in the morning completely empty. I've noticed a difference and she's waking up happy every morning now! We can actually make a bottle before she has a meltdown vs. having to wake up with a ready to go bottle. Lol...  Side note: she was sleeping thru the night waaaay before we started so it's not a "sleep longer tactic". Hope this helps you!

Most people I've heard that started cereal early was for to baby being underweight, not gaining weight on track, or never seeming full. As long as you're not having problems if wait until 6 months it until your doctor okays you to start solids.

Rice cereal has no nutritional value, won't help them sleep longer, and it's recommended nothing but breast milk or baby formula for 6 months. When cereal is introduced after 6 months it should never be in the bottle. The time will come soon enough for our babies to try a whole world of delicious foods 😁

My baby was 5 pounds I thought about it but he's on track plus don't wanna give him that extra food to make him full plus he eats 2 oz every 2 hours now 12 weeks he's 11 pounds so I say don't do it talk to a Dr.

3 months is too young to introduce solids. I won't be introducing foods until 6 months.
