Just wondering about induction?

What are some of the reasons you ladies are getting induced? I'm just wondering, because I have gestational diabetes, and didn't know if that would be a factor.

I'm going to be induced at 39w because of gestational diabetes. .

Gestational diabetes is a valid medical reason to get induced. I think it has to do with the fact that those babies tend to be larger so they may want to induce before the due date.

My sister had GD and was induced I think at week 38 or 37. Turned into a Emergency c-section really quick,  and he never really learned to latch.  Not trying to scare you - he just wasn't ready to be born. 
My induction at 40 weeks was the easiest labor of my 3! Cervadil, and pitocin at a 1! I labored for 13 hours and pushed for 10 minutes.  Baby girl came out 6 lbs 9 ozs and it was great! I was induced because I had consistent contractions for days,  but my body was just not responding. I was happy with my induction, but every woman has a different experience.
