Periods after IUD removal?

Hi all!  So I have always been on some type of birth control so periods were always light or not existent except when when I wasn't on anything. Then it was normal. So the last 3 years I had an skyla IUD and got it removed November 29. Dec 30 I had gotten cramps and they lasted like 4 days where I thought I was getting my period. Then nothing. Toward day to boobs were tender. Still no period!  Took a preg test - negative thank goodness!  Doc said things should return to normal to check back in end of Jan. But anyone have any experience with this?  Any thoughts?

I had my iud for just 2 years and decided we wanted another baby. My af is normally around the 23rd or 20th and this month was a week early light then will get a little heavier then almost stop again. I'm not sure if it's from the iud or what. It's very frustrating not knowing whats going on.

I finally got it on Jan 10. Spotted night before. Then heavy then medium and light.  I had mild cramps. Not like around the 30th when I thought I was getting it  was paranoid I was pregnant. Took a lot of pregnancy tests all negative. Hopefully now will be more regular!
