progestin only!! Norethindrone
Hey ladies!
Please tell me about Progestin only pills because from what I've read they are a HORROR and I'm forced to take them.
So in my last posts I was scrambling to find answers as to WHY I hadn't had my period since July.
After confirming I wasn't pregnant, my doctor falsely diagnosed me with PCOS.
6 viles of blood and one firm vaginal ultrasound later, the only thing abnormal was the 2 cysts on my left ovary and 1 on my right. Hormone levels and everything else was fine, thank GOD!
So I took the 10 day provera challenge and got my period 7 days after finishing it. Today, my dr wants me to start Progestin for birth control to try to regulate everything. She doesn't want me on anything estrogen related because my ovaries are already messed up and I NEED to get a period (obv).
I am extremely scared to take it after all of the sh*tty things I have read about it.. Don't wanna get fat or get (more) acne!! Also don't want to be crazy because the combo pill (sprintec) that I took 3 years ago made me nuts.
Any help is needed than appreciated!
