skipping period on birth control pill and side effects ?

So I'm skipping my period for the 1st time on birth control and I been getting cramps and today is my second day since I started my new pack of birth control pills and I got dark brown spotting is this normal ?

I skipped my period last month for the first time and thought I was pregnant the WHOLE month cause I was feeling things I had never felt! I just felt cramps and aches and I think that's just normal since you're throwing your body off a little!!

I've never personally skipped but a friend of mine has skipped three months in a row once and she said she felt like shit. Not sure about the spotting
