To tell or not to tell?!?
Hey everyone who has been through IVF before: I am about to try our 3rd round of IVF next month, with lots of prayer, yoga/acu/vitamin/organic food preparation - hoping for the best. I'm quite a private person who does not tell "yes,we are trying, but didn't work out so far" to all her friends and family.
Basically, I have only told one friend who went through IVF herself. When I tried telling another very close friend, she didn't really get it, even didn't know what IVF was and just said "it will work, no worries, don't stress out so much" which wasn't very helpful and I regretted telling her.
2 days ago, I talked to a friend who is 20yrs older and she told me about 3 other girls we both know who are currently going through IVF so I told her I am in this same situation...the day after this call I received a text from another friend from which I could see she knows about it now, too - even though I extra said I don't want to spread the word since I am quite emotional about it.
I also met with a girl from a support group which was helpful but also confused me since she did ovodonation and that's a totally different topic I am not ready to deal with.
Who do you talk with? What do you share? I would be grateful about positive comments. Thanks
