safe sex?

Hi everyone, I want to know more in depth how my boyfriend & I can practice safe sex.  I'm currently on my period and have recently become more comfortable to the idea of having sex. We already take the necessary precautions like using condoms. However, I'm not on birth control so I do overthink sometimes when I know I shouldn't and there's no reason to. We're very safe but I would like to know some more tips like whether I should wait a couple of days after and before my period is over and starts? Should I not have sex when I'm ovulating, etc. anything will help. Thank you! 💖
