It's not. Merciry was removed from vaccines being given to children in 2001. If you talking about the flu vaccine, that is an optional vaccine and you can request a non-mercury version.

I think the benefit clearly outweighs the risk here. It's not like these vaccines were developed by uneducated morons. A lot of very smart people worked on creating these vaccines with the goal of safety in mind. The diseases they prevent are a much bigger threat than the tiny amount of thimerosol in them. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions but make sure you educate yourself and know the real risks and benefits. Don't make a decision based on one  quote you found on the internet, and don't try and scare others.
