I'm 16 and sexually active with my boyfriend of over a year. I was reading up that I should be going to the gynecologist around right now but I don't know how to tell my mom that I should go. She is not aware I am sexually active and would be pretty upset if she found out. So how should I break the news that I should be getting an appointment? Also is there a way that I can get birth control at the gynecologist without her knowing? Thanks!
