Best birth control

Bianca • 22. Mother. Wife. Houston Texas.
Was wondering everyone's experiences with different birth controls and what's the most effective ones with the least amount of hormones. I've used the patch, the depo, and pills so far. I liked the patch the best, but they always came off.

I use the nuva ring. For me its perfect. I would honestly try everything out there. Like everyone said every body is different. You have to find what works for you. Just make sure you give the BC ample time to work in your body. And idk if other BCs have different dosages. But the pills do.

I've used everyone except the depo, I had the paraguard for about 3.5 to 4yrs before I started getting ovarian cyst from it. It was the best but up until those cyst started rupturing so I had to get it removed. At this point I don't know what my next option is besides tubes tied unless I try depo but I'm scared of the weight gain b/c I went from a 150 to 200lbs in 2mo from the pill that's what made me try the paraguard. My advice is to try whatever works for you best

I absolutely hated the depo. I bled the entire three months from the first shot. I was extremely hormonal an bitchy 24/7

Everyones body is different so what may be best for one person wouldn't work for someone else. If you like the patch, try using a tegaderm over your patch. I'm a pharmacist and they are used to help provide extra stick over pain patches so they don't come over. Some women use them for their birth control patches as well.

Do you happen to know how the patch effects your chances of getting pregnant after you stop using?

That helps. The only one I ever liked was the patch. My periods always came on the week off, it was so predicable
