I don't understand why a 17 year old would want to be with a 14 year old. The maturity levels are so different between those ages. A lot happens in 3 years when you're a teen

You're both of minor age, so yes. But i would recommend looking up if there are any Romeo and Juliet laws in your area (To protect couples of varrying age, one minor one not with at the most a 2 year difference).

Although I will say, 14 and 7 are two very different ages. There really isn't a good reason for a 17 year old to be dating a 14 year old. Ya, it's not a huge age gap but at those ages it's very different. Even if it is "non-sexual", it's weird. Life is different. It would raise a red flag for me
