I have been prescribed metronidazole (vaginal gel) to treat bacterial vaginosis. I am scared because I have read online that is not necessarily safe, especially in the first trimester. I am now worrying myself silly and not sure whether to continue the course. I know that I shouldn't read the mixed messages online and also know that the doctor wouldn't prescribe it if he hadn't weighed the risks. I am just wondering if others have taken metronidazole and now have healthy baby or had complications??
