Is 26 too young for getting tubes tied?

I am 26 and have 3 children after this one and my partner has 4 all together after this one and we both don't want anymore children. Is 26 too young to get them tied?

I'm getting my tubes tied at 26 as well! I'm 18 weeks with my 3rd child and we are 100% positive that we want this one to be our last. We already have 2 boys and now a girl on the way. Doctor has no problem completing the surgery if we are 100% sure. I don't think it's too young if you are positive!

My mom had 3 of us by 22 and had her tubes tied then. You're good to go. BUT, I would defninitely look into your husband just getting a vasectomy as the recovering is nothing, it's non invasive and can be reversible in many cases. Tubal ligation is highly invasive, long recovery time, cannot be reversed typically and can have a host of complications.

i personally couldnt make that decision at such as young age ( i turned 26 about 2 weeks ago and nearly 24 weeks preg) if it was me i would get him to have it done as the male one can be reversed (i no its not gauranteed) but if it was me to have it done i would be scared id made a wrong decision as you never know years down the line you might want another one ....i have said though i want to be finished with having kids by time im 35 ish so if i was to have it done it would be after im 35 ....but if i was to be told i cant have anymore after this one and if i was to it could kill me i wouldnt take chance at posdibly becoming preg so i would have it done as ill have 2 kids to think about more then my urge to want kids ....

No my friend started young had a baby at 16, a set of twins at 20, then another baby at 21 and she got them tied!
