very annoyed need to vent

Okay so my bf and I have been dating long distance for 3 years. We are only long distance because of college but see each other monthly when I go home to visit family. Well this summer I am applying to graduate programs that start in the fall 2017 and my bf graduates college in spring 2018. I applying to graduate schools near where I am currently which is 10 hours from him. Clearly if my bf wants to marry me like he says then where I decide to go to school for the next 3 years is very important since he's going to live there too. The area I got to is where we will first live together, he will get his first job ect. He wants to be in the government/fbi. I'm so upset because I keep asking his opinion on where to apply etc and he could care less. He never cares about this and this is a huge thing that pertains to the both of us. I'm trying to be selfless and compromise but he can't even give an opinion. He knows I have 10 schools to consider. Even if he looked up the cities or jobs or something. I just can't keep begging that he puts effort into this because it's both of our lives. He knows what type of job he wants when he graduates I wish he would care about where we are gonna love etc. advice?
