Did losing weight help you conceive?

We've been TTC for 2 months, and I think if I lose some weight it'll help me conceive. So along with this poll, what's some helpful ways to lose weight?

I am maybe 30 pounds over weight. I had a mc in October and this time around I'm not risking anything that I have the ability to change. Although my weight probably isn't a factor, I've been going to the gym and doing 30-45 minutes on the elliptical 3-4 times a week and just trying to consume more water and watch what I eat a little better. I didn't go crazy and cut food groups out of my diet, I've just been watching what I eat. My outlook on it is I want my body to be at the best it can be before I have a little one growing and living off of it for 9 months.
