Worried I won't recognise labour signs??

Hello lovelies. I have had a lot of pains on and off in my abdo and pelvic area all the way into pregnancy so far (28 and 1). This may sound silly but I am scared that when labour starts I will just think it's more usual pains? How can I know?! X

I actually tend to have pre labor for days so even though this is my fourth, I'm a little worried about leaving for the hospital on time.  I've had false starts before...

My first I wasn't completely sure. I felt off that whole morning having contractions every 10-15 minutes which I blew off as braxton hicks because I wasn't in any pain. I could still do my daily things and talk during the contractions. It wasn't till 3:30 that afternoon when my water broke that I realized I had been in labor all morning lol I was still only at a 2 when I got to the hospital but I needed antibiotics for GBS so happy I was only a 2 and was able to get all the antibiotics I needed before I delivered

You will just know. I woke up at 6am and just knew that labour was starting. Went to the bathroom and my mucus plug was coming out, which is another good indication labour is starting.

You will definitely know when you're going into labor. The pain its wat stronger than just pelvic and abdominal pain, it will make your back hurt like if someone is hitting you with a hammer. Your water might also break and you will feel a lot of pressure on your vagina.

I had the same fears with my first child and spent an entire day trying to figure out if my contractions were real ( I was pretty certain they were real) or Braxton hicks. The original ones I felt were just Braxton hicks because while they were obviously contractions and had started to get closer together they just tapered out until I wasn't feeling them at all. I went to sleep that night, woke up 2 hours later and realized I was DEFINITELY in labor. Those contractions felt much different. The actual labor contractions were much more painful and lasted a lot longer than the ones I had been feeling all day before.

Just try to keep attention to any leakage of fluid no matter how little if the wet spot is unexplained then call in or go and get a quick check up. For me I knew the MOMENT it switched from my usual pains to labor pains because it was like getting hit by a bus...every 2 minutes. My niece how ever was 5&1/2 cm dilated and had no clue. She didn't even start getting uncomfortable until 7cm so the pain depends all on your body but fluid is undeniable. Good luck momma
