How long until you were OK with having visitors for your newborn?

Hummm...maybe a little crazy or doing it just right...you can decide for your self, but I'm still "not okay" people visiting her. She will be 4 months in 2 weeks, but was technically due  next week (she wouldn't even be born yet had she been on time). Most micropreemies come with a whole package of things to watch for and little things to do...she wasn't exempted. She also has a heart condition (on a transplant list) and asthma, has had pneumonia and seizures, has had fevers every other week and the list goes on...she's just now weighing in just past 6lb. I'm freaked out of germs and anything that could harm her or make her sick because despite all the sleepy smiles and the good moments I have with her, I could lose her anytime. So yeah I'm still "not okay" with visitors, and I actually don't feel so crazy about it.

With my preemie who had sepsis from strep anyone who sneezed or coughed without last month wasn't coming around her 😂 but seriously, after 7 weeks of her in the NICU I am ferociously overprotective right now. Not to mention, my first child. I'm hoarding her! Most of my loved ones are very understanding of that right now.

My family was at the hospital like 3 hours after he was born. I liked having my family there. I didn't like it so much a few days later at home because the baby blues made me feel weird and super protective. After that went away I was back to liking my family's visits.

I had four visitors waiting on us to be taken into my room at the hospital and people came over the day we got home. My husband has a very large family who all live nearby, so how I felt about guests was almost irrelevant. They were coming lol.

I had visitors at the hospital, even though I was not a big fan of that. Once I got home, we didn't have visitors for several weeks, I want to say baby was 5 or 6 weeks when we took her to see people instead of them coming to see us.

Ummm like 30 minutes after birth..... as soon as i was in my room i was ready.... i dont understand why people dont want visitors..... i live across country from my family and i wish sooooo bad they could have been there last year... due within 3 weeks and it still sadens me to think they wont be there again. I mean you're just laying there in bed.... its not like i have anything else to do.... visitors come in, cuddle baby, congratulate you.... its not like i have to offer them coffee hahahaa... i just sit there and tell em how labour was hahh.    The only day i would "prefer" no visitors is like 2-3 days later because breast engorement completely knocked me out, so this time around i am planning to stay home those days.... last time was terrible!! Other than that i will probably even stop by work on my way home from the hospital to show coworkers... and walmart to get what im might be missing :)

I had visitors at the hospital, but only adults that haven't been sick within the last week and no children under 12. After we went home we took 3-4 days with no visitors to get settled in. Still keeping the visitors to a minimum and no children. Our LO is a week  and a half old now and I'm just limiting how many people are in the house in general I don't want her, daddy, or me to get sick anytime soon.
