Did it with both of my kids thanks to my mother's recommendation. I couldn't produce enough to satisfy them. Doc said to add just a tsp to 2 to their bottles. And they are both fine with no digestive issues.

Hey grandmas are wise and smart mine told me the same thing cause my son was waking so much throughout the night like every hr  to eat so I started putting a teaspoon in his milk and he sleeps through the night now and is content

No! Babies are not meant to have anything other than breastmilk or formula for the first 6 months. Their stomachs are not developed enough to handle anything else.
