Does Nipple Stimulation Actually Work?!

I'm 38 weeks and the doctor was giving me some tips and tricks to speed up labour/naturelle induction.

Does Nipple Stimulation actually work? How can I do it so it's more effective?

It didn't work for me and neither did my breast pump :/

I didn't know that when you breastfeed initially it actually causes contractions, enough to feel like a mild cramping. So it may have the same effect before they are born

I have heard that sex and nipple stimulation are the only things that have actually been shown to work...I had steady contractions for like 5 hours after sex last night but they never got stronger and eventually stopped :-/ I am nervous to try the breast pump because I have heard it can stress baby.

It hasn't worked for me yet, I get contractions but nothing productive.
