Sleeping too much?

Question

Can a newborn sleep too much? My baby only woke up once last night to eat. We went to bed at 11pm, baby was up at 430am, and baby is still sleeping as of 8am.

😓😓😓 Exact opposite here.. My son doesn't sleep.. Average 8 to 10 hrs a day.. Doctor said.. Some babies just don't like to sleep and that's okay.. I'm glad he thinks it's okay!!! Hahaha

My daughter slept 5-6 hours straight today without waking up for a bottle.

I would love it if my LO would sleep that much.  Her sleep schedule is still off and she sleeps all day and awake at night.

But yes, it's normal 🙂. I know at a certain age my pediatrician wants us to wake her for feedings but once she is a little older we don't need to do that.  But not all doctors have this view
