Chiropractic adjustment for baby?

Question

Anyone have experience (good or bad) with taking a young baby to a chiropractor? There is a chiropractor in my city who specializes in babies and children and I have a few friends who swear by it, but I'm just a little skeptical. My baby is 2 months old and dealing with colic and possibly some reflux. Very fussy. I've been told an adjustment could help but not completely convinced of that. Getting a little desperate though...

I have a friend who is an orthopedic surgeon. I asked her about baby adjustments. She said she would NEVER have her child adjusted. Baby's bones aren't even fully formed yet, and are still soft and flexible which allow them to be all scrunched up in the womb for months. 
I think chiropractors, for the most part, do great things to help people. I also know how one small adjustment can potentially cause huge problems. There was recently a model who went to a chiropractor and got an adjustment and severed an artery in her neck and she died. I just wouldn't be comfortable with my infant getting adjusted.

I've heard it works but i have also talked to my doctor who said they are still growing so the
Bones are fully formed & could cause more damage so I choose not to.

I used to nanny for two doctors that considering taking their young fussy infant to a chiropractor, and ultimately decided against it after consulting all their colleagues. Best of luck to you!

My chiropractor took a look at my son at 2 months old. I wouldn't say it was much of an adjustment, but he actually slept that night.

I have a friend who is a chiropractor and he focuses on pregnancy and postnatal care. He has adjusted moms in labor and babies who are days or weeks old. Being born can really work a baby's system. He has gotten colicky babies calm in minutes with an adjustment. Go to someone with lots of experience, good reviews, and just like any doctor, have a conversation about baby's health and your goals. Mine were never fussy babies, but get adjustments at 2, 3, 5, and 7.

I've taken my son to our chiropractor since he was 3 weeks old. She specializes in pregnant mothers/babies. I took him because he would not latch plus was fussy and doctors were forcing formula down our throats. She  adjusted his pallette and adjusted him as well. It looked like she was playing with him. He was alert and relaxed throughout it. Painless! No crying. ever since then it's been nothing but smooth sailing! I now take him once a month and he's a strong, healthy, bright eyed boy
