HSG-anyone have one?

Has anyone had one? I go on Tuesday....just wanted some insight on what to expect.

Yep! Mine hurt like a mofo. My tubes weee 100% blocked so that is why. I had surgery 12 days later and got pregnant 2 months after. For all the bs I got what I wanted

I had it 2 weeks ago. It was incredibly painful for me. I took Advil and Xanax before and still screamed my head off in pain the entire time

It was uncomfortable but not too bad. It's over fast!

Thanks for all the tips! I have my Motrin ready and pads packed! Here's hoping this is the thing I need to finally get pregnant!!!

It wasn't bad, just slightly uncomfortable while they were injecting the dye. It definitley wasnt as bad as period cramping.  My nurse told me to take 4 ibuprofen 30 mins to an hour before and I was on an antibiotic. Definitely wear a panty liner or pad because I did more than just a little spotting. It seemed to "clean out my pipes" because I noticed a strange discharge a few days later, but my doctor said it was normal.

I pre-medicated with 800mg of ibuprofen a hour before. They had to dilate my cervix to get the catheter in which was unpleasant but not horrible and the dye definitely makes your cramp at the moment. Best advice the nurse gave me was long slow breaths. Once you start holding your breath and getting tense it makes it worse. Procedure was quick. I didn't have any blockages and ended up finally getting pregnant right after.

Recently had mine done (1/10/17).  Nothing painful however can be uncomfortable temporarily
