Question

I havent had ANYTHING since July last year and I'm really starting to freak out. I'm on the mini pill which is said to stop your period or make it irregular but my question is how will I know in case I ever get pregnant? I don't have access to any pregnancy tests 😥 Is there anything I can do to promote my period?

You can order tests online, get them for free at women's clinics. Unfortunately, progestin can cause symptoms very similar to pregnancy. I'm on Nexplanon which is also a progestin releasing birth control. It sucks. From what I understand, progesterone levels increase dramatically during pregnancy, preventing ovulation. Progestin is like a fake progesterone causing you to not ovulate. It also causes thinning of the uterine lining, and a lack of releasing the lining. Sometimes it will still shed normally, depending on the person. Sometimes it comes about as old blood and globs of endometrium in the form of spotting. Sometimes you get nothing at all. But when taken correctly, it is over 99% effective. I worry like hell sometimes too since I don't get my period either, but looking at the odds helps. Maybe use condoms on top of it to ease your mind as well.

I would try and get a test some how... not trying to scare you but I never had this issue on the mini pill.
