Period Cramps🔪😭

I'm 14 and lately my period cramps have been changing on me, like normally they were noticed but not painful at all and just my last period it was like someone staping my left side with a knife and made me cry because of how painful it was. My mom said that it's normal since I'm still going through purperty and everything is still changing but I just wanted to see if anyone has any advice or goes through the same thing when there on their period.
