what the DR says...

Heather
I have been TTC for 7 cycles- I know that is not that long, but I had some concerns at my annual that I brought up to my dr. I have a 24 day cycle, begin spotting on day 20-22 until AF arrives. Have AF for an average of 3 days usually not that heavy but do not have heavy periods. What my tests show: 3 progesterone levels in 2 cycles show a 2, 7 and 9 which is low but not terrible my dr said. Endometrial biopsy on day 20 (remember by cycle is only 24 days so it should be very thick at this point) shows That my lining is actually day 16. And HSG shows tubes are perfect. Dr. Prescribed provera (progesterone) for 10 days the past cycle to jump start my cycle and hopefully lengthen it and was hoping for BFP this month. I was concerned as provera is usually used to cause an AF in those not getting it, but he said it can be used for this also. Well... no BFP but it did lengthen my cycle to day 26 but I still started spotting on day 25. Went back to see if I should be taking provera again this cycle and he said no just to have sex ALL OF THE TIME. Lol. I feel like if my progesterone is low I should be on it again and I feel like 10 days isn't right bc wouldn't I need progesterone to sustain the pregnancy if I did fall pregnant? He says next month we will try clomid and progesterone although I get positive lh surges on opks each month so idk. Oh and semen analysis was normal except for slightly low mobility, but dr believes it is due to sample sitting out, he didn't seem concerned. My question is---- does the progesterone thing sound normal? Should I be doing clomid after only 8-9 cycles of trying? Should I be waiting a year, or do these issues make it justified to be seeing dr?
