**question**

Should we, as all humans, consider adoption more than we do if we know we are biologically able and healthy enough to have our own kids.

I think this is probably a pretty unpopular opinion but when couples or single women decide they wants kids, we automatically think that reproductive way; letting our bodies create life but when some of us start having a hard time, told me are at high risk and shouldn't, would need fertility treatment or just can't have kids... we kinda shit on adoption as being our last option and usually last options aren't ideal.

Why don't we adopt more even if we can have our own babies? I understand the wanting of feeling pregnancy and biological motherhood/fatherhood and wanting a child with your genes, I really do.

I just think we should think about adopting more and reproducing less, especially considering we are sucking our planet and causing people to modify foods to meet consumer demand and the modification can be really unhealthy...

We all want our kids and their kids to have great lives but that's not going to happen if we continue to overpopulate our only planet ):

There are so many children and even babies about to be born who need homes but I think it's almost... selfish?... for us to ignore all those children and just have our own simply because we have no biological reason to consider adoption. Now I'm not saying everyone is selfish or wrong or bad, this is just my view after looking into alternatives because I already know me having kids biological won't be good with my physical disabilities and medications.

It's just kind of opened my eyes a little to the ratio of healthy people and adoption and people who can't have babies and adoption.
