The chances of getting pregnant are lowered significantly outside of ovulation, correct? Is it possible though? Jan 15- I had sex. My period is due within the next week though. I'm healthy. He's healthy. And he did not pull out at all.

My husband and I use fertility-awareness methods (no artificial contraceptives). 
It's possible to get pregnant "outside your fertility window" only because this app is guessing when you ovulate. It is NOT possible to get pregnant unless viable sperm reaches an egg. Your egg drops when you ovulate, and it lives between 12-24 hours. Sperm can live inside you for up to five days. 
If you had sex a few days after you ovulated, you can't get pregnant. 
I use this app to track my symptoms, but I don't necessarily follow their fertility predictions 100%. I can tell when I'm fertile by my CM and symptoms.

It's possible because often times even if u THINK u have ur ovulation right, u might not. . It happens all the time. ..u can ovulate late or early. Ovulation kits are often not 100% accurate.
