Do you still ovulate on birth control?

I currently have an IUD and want to switch to FAM and a barrier method for my not safe days. I know to accurately use the fertility awareness method I need to track my cycle for 8-12 months. Can I still do that on bc or no?

Well the whole point of birth control is to make it to where you DONT ovulate. At least that's what the gyno told me..😳😳

It depends on which IUD you have. If you have one with hormones, no, you shouldn't ovulate. If you have the copper one, you can.

You ovulate the week you taking the inactive pills, so you can have a period.

I believe I did while on the IUD, because I got the ovulation cramps and i saw the cervical mucous from time to time.. But it differs from person to person
