Did Your Membrane Sweep Work?

I'm 40 weeks today and I had my membranes swept. It hurt like hell and I had a lot of spotting for quite a few hours, but that has thankfully stopped. I'm just curious: did your membrane sweep work? If so, was it painful? How long did it take until you went into labor? Regardless if mine doesn't work I'll be getting induced on Thursday morning! I've dilated from a 1 to a 2.5 in the past week so I'm hopeful but not getting my hopes up completely until things start happening.
