How do you know when your ovulating? Is there signs? How can you tell?xxx

You generally ovulate midway through your cycle. There are lots of ways to tell when you'll ovulate:

1) Use ovulation predictor kits (OPKs). It looks like a pregnancy test, but you want the test line to be as dark as or darker than the control line to know it's positive. A faint line is not positive. You should test twice a day starting around day 9 or 10 so that you catch the LH surge, which may only last around 12 hours. Once you get a positive OPK, you will know that you'll be ovulating in 24-36 hours.

2) Track your basal body temperature (BBT). You'll need to use a BBT thermometer and take your temp every morning at the same time, before you get out of bed. Generally, if you see a spike in temp (.5 - 1 degree raise), it means you ovulated the day before. This doesn't help with predicting ovulation beforehand, but it can let you know that you did ovulate. You usually need to do this for a month or two before you can see clear patterns.

3) Track your cervical mucus (CM) and cervical position (CP). Wash your hands and insert a finger inside to feel your cervix. Fertile CM is stretchy and clear (like raw egg whites). If your cervix is high, soft, and open, that's also a sign of ovulation.

But, to keep it simple, if you have sex every other day throughout your fertile week, around the general time of ovulation, you should be good!

I usually get ovulation cramps that's how I know. Sometimes I get a pulling/twinge feeling on one side or the other, but mostly just in the middle of my abdomen. And of course the changes in CM.
