Bishop Score??

Question

So I had a doctor appointment today and she did a cervical check and I was 3.5-4 cm dilated and 75% effaced and that he was a -1. She did a membrane sweep & said I was a 9 on the Bishop Score? She said that was good and that he could come anytime, hopefully tonight or tomorrow. I'm 38+2 and hoping she is right! Sooo ready to see my boy! 💙👶💚

Has anybody else heard of the bishop score??

At my 40 week appointment I was a big fat 1! My cervix was firm and fully closed! I scored crap! I'm 6 days overdue and still no signs of anything happening anytime soon

The bishop score gives a probability of an effective induction. The higher the score the more effective any induction technique is said to be. Obviously this also usually means the higher the score the more likely you are to go into spontaneous labor.

At my 40 week appointment I was a 8.5 on the bishop. Thank goodness bc otherwise they didn't want to schedule my induction at 41 weeks if it wasn't over 7. Otherwise less than 7 they let u go to 42. Higher chance of a csection. Odd since I still ended up with a csection 😔

My score was a 4 when I was checked at 38 Weeks Pregnant ! 😊
