Business of Being Born documentary Thoughts?

Did anyone else become more confused about what to do (birth plan).. by watching this documentary ? I feel like it was very informative , but also very biased regarding natural birth/midwives .

For me it just helped me realize that there were things I wanted to do my own research on & things that I wanted to look for in a hospital & OB, I'm high risk due to age & an autoimmune disease so a home birth is not something I would do but I do plan on an unmedicated birth & being mobile during labor, laboring in water & pushing in either a squatting position or on all fours, I'm also going to have a Doula, all of which is fully supported by the hospital & the high risk OB's & Midwives I see. Due in 25 days!

I loved it. It's the reason why I decided on a midwife and home birth (birth center for my state) for my first and I will be doing the same for this little nugget in me now. I think the whole point of the documentary was to educate about giving birth naturally since there is a ton of push for hospitals, obgyns, and medical interventions in today's society. I believe they just wanted to inform women about the other options out there.

Nope. I watched the documentary years ago. Now, I'm pregnant and due in a week. I went with what I felt comfortable with. You shouldn't base your decision on one documentary that could be bias.

I didn't like it. It was very one sided and almost made me feel guilty for wanting a hospital birth.

I always wanted to watch it. Do u know if it's on Netflix ? 
No joke birth in general is no joke. My first was born @ 9 lbs flat. I was pushing and as soon as her head came out I got weak. Doctors looked at each other like what the hell. I do have a medical condition so they were even more fearful. Finally got to pushing again but nearly bled to death.

Last two were born via c section both early one 33 week one 24 week but emergency. I never had a doctor say c section because they get more

I liked it. I'm doing a hospital birth but loved the information given. I plan to have a naturally birth if all goes well and refuse pitocin, etc. it's good to know your options. I've also been reading Ina May and  another great book called "Birthing from Within". I think the more positive - strong birth stories you can read, the better! We were made to give birth ✌🏼️
