I'm looking to buy my first car and I'm saving and am currently at about $1100. Im looking at used cars on craigslist/etc but was wondering how much everyone paid for their first car?

It was 15 years ago and I paid $500 for a Chevy cavalier. Best car every because it was a piece of shit. I drove it about 6 months before I wrecked it. I would say get a car that will be reliable and safe. Don't worry about looks now as most people wreck their first car.

I paid $4,000 for a 2004 Honda Civic (named Seth) that I proceeded to total a year and a half later in a snow storm. I was also 19 when I bought him though so I had some money saved up.

I live in Aus, I paid $3200 for my first car (Toyota Camry sportivo) and she's 15 years old and hasn't let me down yet. Best car ever 🙌🏻

But everything broke like a week after and I had to replace the transmutation and alternator and spark plugs so yeah🙃 ended up costing way more $$$ and I got it from a used car dealership. Defiently.l consider buying from an independent seller.

Chevy cavalier for $1,300. It's really high millage but these cars run forever and are easy to take care of
